God’s will is not something cleverly hidden that we are challenged to discover. Rather, God’s will is something clearly revealed that we are commanded to do. During our session, we’ll explore how God’s will is made clear in His word and how we can actively respond to His perfect will.

Paul “Butch” Jarrell serves as the Director of Development for MissionGO, a mission agency dedicated to helping people pursue God’s calling wherever He leads. Alongside his wife Lesi, Butch has spent more than two decades in ministry after leaving the business world to pursue full-time service.

Throughout those years, he has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Director of the Short-Term Missions Program and Information Technology Director for Word of Life Fellowship. Butch and his family also served as missionaries in Brazil with Word of Life, ministering to remote tribal communities along the Amazon River. His ministry has taken him to more than 25 countries through leading as the trip host on over 80 international mission trips, providing opportunities to teach, encourage churches, and help individuals discern God’s direction for their lives.

Before entering full-time ministry, Butch served as a firefighter, EMT, and U.S. Army officer. He has also faithfully served the local church in roles such as worship leader, deacon, and Sunday school teacher. These diverse experiences—both in ministry and life—have given him a unique perspective on discerning and following the will of God.

Butch and Lesi are the parents of three children—Paul Casey, Elizabeth Colbie, and Sarah Caitlyn—and the proud grandparents of four grandchildren, including a set of triplets. They remain deeply grateful for God’s grace and the privilege of serving Him together in ministry.

In his breakout session, “Knowing and Doing the Will of God: Understanding God’s Will for My Life,” Butch will share biblical principles and practical insights drawn from decades of ministry, missions, and personal experience to help believers recognize God’s guidance and faithfully follow His leading.
