Speaker: HANS OSTREM -  One Life. One Gospel. One Mission

Hans served for many years as a medical missionary in North Africa and the Middle East, using his background as a paediatric emergency medicine physician. During that time, he worked in remote and vulnerable communities, seeking to bring compassionate and sustainable healthcare. He later returned to North America to serve as a Vice President with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he helped expand a worldwide ministry that uses sport as a platform for evangelism and discipleship. Hans currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Medical Ministry International (MMI.org), an organization that sends short-term teams to serve alongside local in-country leaders, provide healthcare, and strengthen sustainable evangelistic and health initiatives around the world. Hans and his wife, Brandy, live in Mississauga with their four children; Alexis, Kristopher, Rowan, and Erikson.

Amy Ohler served for over 20 years in the Middle East and Central Asia, based in Turkey. Originally she went as a school teacher, but later joined the leadership of a locally started residential ministry training for Turkish speakers, eventually serving as the director for 8 years. Participants were discipled while attending classes, engaging in outreach, mercy ministries, and cross-cultural missions. Amy is passionate to connect people directly with Jesus, and so enjoys involvement in worship, prayer ministries, and counselling. After being forced to leave the country, Amy returned to Canada, and currently resides in Calgary where she works as a counsellor."
