The Kingdom of God: A place to BE, A place of BEING and BELONGING
Seminar Description:
The ministry to which I feel so privileged to be called is guided by the philosophy that the success of the church will not depend so much on the verbal proclamation of the Gospel but on the practical demonstration of Christ’s love, care and compassion. My personal vision statement of the Church is: Creating a Christ like, Caring, Compassionate Community. The goal of the church should be, becoming more like Christ, exhibiting the care and compassion he showed while he was here. This should be the basis of our life and ministry.
The central message of the sermon preached by Jesus about the Kingdom of God being at hand was aimed at directing people’s focus towards God who loves, values and cares for all who are made in God’s image. The message of the church today about the Kingdom of God should reflect that same call as we direct attention to Jesus who died for the sins of the world and through whom we have abundant life.
