Reaching the most resistant people group for Jesus
Seminar Description
Jewish People have been one of the most resistant people groups to reach for Jesus historically. But there is hope! And it’s full of evidence! This seminar will briefly cover the causes for Jewish resistance to Jesus and share some principles for overcoming those barriers.
Scott Schwartz was raised in a Jewish home in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At age 24, he placed his faith in Jesus as the promised Messiah of Israel. Eager to deepen his understanding of Scripture, Scott earned an Associate Degree in Theology from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California.
Scott and his wife, Kori, have long carried a burden to reach the Hasidic (ultra-Orthodox) Jewish community. In 2012, the Lord led them to join Life in Messiah with the goal of sharing the gospel among Orthodox Jews. Scott went on to complete the Jewish Studies program at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 2015.
After several years of ministry in Brooklyn, New York, Scott and Kori relocated to New Jersey, where they now live just minutes from one of the largest ultra-Orthodox enclaves in the United States—home to the nation’s largest Haredi yeshiva. Scott currently serves as Life in Messiah’s Short-Term Ministry Coordinator, overseeing, leading, and supporting ministry teams in Brooklyn and South Florida.
Scott and Kori have been married for 25 years and are blessed with three children, one of whom is engaged to be married.
